Where this started

I'm a second-generation Japanese New Zealander, raised on Auckland's North Shore. Growing up between two languages and two cultures gave me something I didn't fully appreciate until later: a genuine, working fluency in how New Zealand and Japan each actually operate — not just the language, but the expectations, the pace, and the things that go unsaid in each place.

Over 15 years of professional experience across Japan, New Zealand, and the wider Asia-Pacific, that cross-cultural footing turned into the actual work: building relationships, closing gaps in understanding, and helping people on both sides of the Pacific do business with each other properly.

I set up Navigate Japan Limited to bring that same approach to a wider set of services — starting with Home & Heart Clearance here in Auckland, and building outward from there into property management, Japan-based property services, cross-cultural business advisory, and a few creative projects along the way. I still handle Auckland operations personally, and I lead the group's Japan-facing work directly.
